Fleece sheets. My mother came and took us out to dinner and gave us red fleece sheets. I can be warm at night.
Getting sick again, stayed home from work. Dissatisfied with that situation, somewhat. Still very happy about living in Seattle. (License plates! Driver's license! It's all official now.) Still very much in love with & happy about the person I'm living with, despite the ups and downs. I would write more but I'm sick. The end. |

...and right after I posted that, I got the job. I am happy and think I have enough brain space to write letters soon! The job starts September 8. I am a full-time teaching assistant in a Montessori infant classroom! Read: lots of babies. That's all okay bye! |

Aaaahhh! ::jitter jitter jitter:: Guys! I had a nice cup of coffee and then my second job interview, and I did get offered the first job but it's part-time and kind of far away and I really want this one, I'm trying not to want things but it's hard! Joe is making an omelette, the mushrooms smell deliciously amazing. I have not been drinking coffee recently but ooh it tastes so good. OH-kay. |

sleepy and happy. i am going to go read some of my book now and then i am going to shut the light. (i like that phrase, it makes me think that lights just open and close like books.) i like the way all the golden brown hills of california pile up softly in big folds; lisa calls them "teddy-bear hills" because of how fuzzy they are. |

| | escape from alvie - laura cortese | ] | There are two emails sitting next to each other in my inbox, one of which Renee originally sent to me with the subject line "song songs" and one which I sent to Mike with the subject "story story." This is pleasingly symmetrical, or some other word that escapes me but that feels nice.
Crying crying. Other things too. |

Greer has become very adept at making the kinds of sounds Sasha makes when she has been cuddling up to you but is just about ready to twist around and bite the hell out of your arm if you move it. Greer now seems to have mastered the Sasha face as well. Good lord, Greer.
I am sorry I write about my cat so much on here, it is easier than writing about my feelings. (I have so many! And I am having huge difficulties untangling them into thoughts at the moment, there's just this massive onslaught of feelings, maybe if I close my eyes they will go away. For a few hours.)
Oh the Romp was this weekend and it was goooood. Danced so hard. Plus a Collegium concert in Pittsburgh--my dad came! Plus oh my goodness Jesus Christ homework. Also http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=176 |

"Confronted with ten varieties of soap or toothpaste, I stand paralyzed, my capillaries tightening into a panicky headache. Just how am I to know which is the real thing, the Platonic toothpaste?"
I just want to learn how to write better, which seems like a reasonable goal when it is sunny out. At the moment, though, I am profoundly unenthusiastic--or more like profoundly freaking out--about the paper(s) I am supposed to be writing. Look! I am full of contradictions! I contain multitudes! Multitudes of little tiny rain drops oh help help. I must eat more oranges. |

Kitten is inquisitively knocking over everything she can get her paws on. I am almost finished with my cold hooray. Oh BOTHER, witness kitten knocking over my full glass of water onto my bed/floor/belongings. Anyway. I have almost made it through February. Have you?
